Christmas Picture Look : White Dress W/ Red Accents

white-dress-red-accents.jpgFor this year’s Christmas picture I’ve decided to style everyone in the family in red and white theme. Red and white accents is such an appropriate Christmas theme if done right, don’t you think? I bought this Breakin’ Loose white dress from Goody’s as part of my birthday shopping spree last year for only $6.49. The red skinny patent belt is from a 3-set skinny belt pack(red, yellow, & black) from Wal-Mart for only $8. My infamous red heels from Payless for $19.99, white Claire’s bangle, $2.50, a pair of Liz Claiborne drop diamond earings(not seen), and a red cardigan for $8. I forego wearing a necklace coz I didn’t want to go overboard. That would just look tacky in my opinion. I wanted the color red to be the focal point somehow without ovewhelming the whole ensemble. The white dress certainly made that possible.

With the cardigan look after the fold…

white-dress-red-accents-2.jpgI decided at the last minute to cover up my huge arms with a red cardigan. I was looking for a bolero style by the way but I decided at the last minute so I didn’t have time to search further. I bought the red cardigan at Wal-Mart the night before the day of our appointment. I was lucky to have found it. Whewww. I believe it worked out in the end. I can’t decide which looks better though. Well, I’ve leaned on with the cardigan look since that’s how I did it during the picture session. But I like the sans the cardigan look as well.

Either way, I think it’s evident that I(kids and hubby too) looked festive that day :) . Thank goodness the weather was around 65′ degrees that day. I really didnt’ want to walk around SEARS in heels. But then again, we did a lot of errands after the photo session that I didn’t have a choice but walk around in red heels after all. Imagine me pushing a cart with a 15 month old in the baby seat at Michael’s, Dollar Store, Wal-Mart and a brunch at Bojangles. Talk about fabulous….LOL.
