My $20 Magnetic Bracelet/Necklace In Different Styles
I hate being suckered into buying something. Anything. But yet again, I was suckered into buying from one of those kiosks(thanks for the term CJ, Deb and Kori) 2 weeks ago. The last time I let that happen to me was 5 years ago while still living in NY. I bought a $25 oversized blue jelly bag. I haggled the lady to give it to me for $20 though, hehehe. This time it’s a magnetic bracelet/necklace for $20. I was waiting for my husband outside a GNC store at the PX(military store) when this Asian lady, whom I’ve always managed to avoid everytime we go to the PX, finally cornered me and asked, “have you seen this?”. Being the gullible person that I am when it comes to errrr, cute accessories, I said why not. She showed be how a beads bracelet turns into a necklace….
It’s magnetic she said. And look at all the different styles you could make out of it….
How was I supposed to say no to that sales pitch? Hubby asked how much to which I replied hesitantly, “Hmmm $20, but it’s magnetic and you can turn it into different things“. He said, “oh cool”. But then again he just spent boat loads of money at GNC so he probably didn’t want to assure my trepidation at that time on spending $20 on a freaking beads bracelet/necklace… LOL.
But I’m glad I bought it. After taking all those pictures for demonstration, I’m real glad I spent $20 on it. I had fun coming up with different styles. There were different colors too like black, pink, red..etc but blue is my favorite and I figured it will go with anything come spring and summer.
Did I make a great purchase or should I keep avoiding that lady from now on? :)

Oooh, they are selling stuff like that in the Phils. I bought two and gave them to my Chinese friends (maybe not the best gifts as they are probably made in China…). I like them though and wish I bought one for myself too — especially after seeing this post.

I really like the way this can be made into a million different things! $20 well spent! I like the color combo too, I have seen things like this at some arts and crafts shows around town I may need to check them out further.

I think it’s a nice necklace. I wanted to get one myself but talked myself out of it.
But it’s a little too pricey, but that’s just me. It’s 3x more expensive there than it is here in Manila. I think that can be had for 150-200 (pesos).

That is a adorable and worth the price because it can be used so many ways. I absolutely love - I’d buy it too. Though my husband drags me away from kiosks.
